"Roll Out", "Alligator", "Wild Zoo" — if those names bring a smile to your face, you were probably one of the 80+ kids who joined us for an unforgettable day at our annual, Community Tennis Field Day! On Saturday, May 3rd, the courts at the Barnes Tennis Center were packed with excitement as Youth Tennis San Diego (YTSD) hosted the event to celebrate another successful year of After School Tennis (AST). AST participants and instructors from community programs across San Diego came together for this special event. The day offered juniors of all ages and all skill levels the opportunity to meet new friends, build connections, and most importantly — have FUN on the courts! From fast-paced relay games to skill-focused drills, the courts buzzed with laughter, competition, and lots of energy.

Thank you to our Coaches & Volunteers!!!
A huge THANK YOU goes to our incredible AST coaches and the enthusiastic Hands On San Diego volunteers, who give their time, energy and heart to guide, support, and cheer on our kids. Their leadership and positivity helped make the event a welcoming, confidence-boosting experience for every player. From high-fives, to prizes, to serving up the pizza lunch - coaches made the day unforgettable and extra fun!

Following the Field Day festivities, we hosted our Annual AST Coaches Luncheon — a heartfelt thank-you to our dedicated community instructors and volunteers who make our programs possible. These passionate leaders share the joy of tennis with our community youth each and every day, and we’re incredibly grateful for their commitment and care on and off the courts.
A special THANK YOU to Kathy Chabot Willette and family - our amazing program founder and generous community event sponsor. Your support allows us to continue growing a strong, inclusive tennis community across San Diego, and share the gift of tennis with thousands of community youth each program year! THANK YOU for your continued support throughout the years, and we look forward to many more to come!
