Wrapping Our Community Youth in Warmth this Holiday Season.♥️

This winter, Youth Tennis San Diego was honored to once again, come together with our incredible community of supporters, for our 2nd Annual Youth Jacket Drive. Thanks to the generosity of our friends, partners, and donors, we were able to provide 90 warm jackets to underserved youth in our community this holiday—offering comfort, care, and an important reminder that they are supported.

A special thank you goes out to Shelia Belinsky with the Molly’s Angels Foundation, whose enthusiasm and outreach played a huge role in the success of this year’s drive! Shelia and her team helped spread the word throughout the community and joined us in person at Monarch School, where 20 jackets were gifted directly to the students. Seeing the smiles on the kids’ faces made the moment incredibly meaningful for everyone involved, and all the students were truly grateful to receive a warm winter coat of their own.

The additional 70 jackets were donated to Perkins K-8 School, where school staff will thoughtfully identify students in need and distribute the jackets throughout the week. Both Monarch and Perkins School are located in the Barrio Logan community of San Diego. An area where many families are currently experiencing housing insecurity and other challenges.

We like to think of these jackets as more than just winter wear—they’re a big hug for each child who receives one. A small but powerful reminder that someone cares, that their community sees them, and that they are not alone during the holiday season. At Youth Tennis San Diego, our mission goes beyond teaching tennis. It’s about creating opportunities, building confidence, and positively impacting the lives of our community youth—both on and off the court.
