Youth Tennis San Diego’s Summer Programs Empower Local Youth On and Off the Court
Youth Tennis San Diego is proud to continue serving the community through our youth adaptive tennis programs this summer! We're offering free weekly clinics every Friday at Barnes Tennis Center, along with two one-week summer camps in June and July—all at no cost to families.

Open to youth of all ages and abilities, our adaptive tennis programs are more than just lessons—they’re building a strong, supportive community of players who grow together both on and off the court.
Leading the program is Coach Manny Gomez, a standout SDSU player and an inspiring leader in adaptive sports. Manny, who has used a wheelchair since age 15 following a tragic accident, found purpose and passion through tennis—competing in college, making lifelong friends, and now giving back as a coach. “I love to coach the adaptive clinics because adaptive sports changed my life,” says Coach Manny. “I would love to help change other people’s lives with the sport of tennis, just as it did mine.”

Our players come from across San Diego, from elementary school to high school. One of our newest stars, Kaiya, a 10th grader at Canyon Hills High School, is working toward her dream of joining the girls’ tennis team this fall. With the support of our clinics and camps, she’s honing her skills and building confidence—on her way to achieving that goal. YTSD provides all necessary equipment, including sport chairs, so every child has the opportunity to play, compete, and connect.
We are proud of our community programs and the positive impact we make in the lives of San Diego youth. Together, as a community, we can encourage youth participation, personal integrity, and a competitive spirit in a welcoming and supportive environment. Thank you to all our coaches, players, families, and sponsors who help make this impact possible. Your support means the world—and keeps our courts filled with opportunity and joy.
