We are excited to announce our newest After School Tennis program site—Standley Middle School in the heart of University City! Welcome to the tennis fun, Standley community!

Youth Tennis San Diego is proud to continue expanding our outreach program across the San Diego Unified School District, now serving more than 20 schools each year. Adding Standley Middle School to our growing list of partner sites represents another important step in our mission to make tennis accessible to all youth, regardless of background, experience, or financial circumstance.

Since 1952, Youth Tennis San Diego has been dedicated to empowering young athletes through free and low-cost programs that promote physical health, teamwork, discipline, and personal growth. Through community outreach, mentorship, and on-court instruction, we strive to create meaningful opportunities that help students succeed both on and off the court.

Each week, students at Standley Middle School will gather on their school courts for a fun and active afternoon of tennis. Our certified community instructors will introduce the fundamentals of the sport, build player confidence, and help students develop a lifelong love for the game. YTSD proudly provides all equipment, facility permits, and instructor support, ensuring that every student has what they need to participate fully. The program is open to all grade levels and all levels of play—no experience required!

We are incredibly grateful to the Standley Middle School support staff, families, and our dedicated community instructors for their enthusiasm and support in bringing this program to life. We look forward to sharing the joy of tennis with Standley students this winter and in many future sessions to come. Here’s to a great season ahead on the courts!
