Youth Tennis San Diego is thrilled to announce our newest After School Tennis program - Franklin Elementary, located in the vibrant Normal Heights neighborhood! Each week, 20 students—ranging from kindergarten to 5th grade—join us on the playground for an hour of tennis drills, games, and rally play. Using portable tennis nets, we create a unique tennis space right on the school grounds, allowing us to bring the sport to the kids in a way that’s both accessible and exciting!

Our goal for the program is to teach kids the basic fundamentals of tennis, build player self-confidence, encourage positive sportsmanship, and cultivate a love for the game. Whether our students are learning to serve or mastering their forehand, every session is an opportunity for these young athletes to grow both on and off the court. We encourage students to believe themselves, communicate effectively with teammates, and stay positive in the face of challenges. These lessons extend far beyond the court and help to build well-rounded, confident individuals.

Thank you Franklin Elementary for welcoming us to your campus! Together as a community we can share a love for the sport of tennis, and positively impact our youth — one swing at a time!
